When Is The Right Time To Get Injectables: Here’s What To Expect In Your 20s, 30s, 40s, And Beyond.

As much as we’d like to provide a one-off answer to this question, there isn’t one. A lot of things play into getting injectables and the right time for you really depends on your personal philosophy about how you wish to age. Most of our clients want to look their best at the age they are. If you want to learn more about injectables and fillers and how they can fit into your skin health routine, schedule an injectables consultation with one of our Kalvera SkinTherapy Master Injectors. If you want to hold off on injectables and instead up your skin health routine to match the age of your skin, check out what you can expect in your 20s, 30s, 40s and beyond, below.

Our skins needs change as we age.

20’s:

SPF will be your saving grace to prevent sun damage, aka the leading cause of wrinkles. Look for an SPF 30 or higher and be sure to reapply throughout the day. It is also best to avoid frequent and prolonged sun exposure. If that isn’t possible, find a cute hat to shade your face and provide protection. After that, focus on a consistent skincare regimen that should include good products targeted for your skin type. You can also start getting Med Tech Facials in your 20s to really get a head start on your skin health.

30's:

This is the age to really bump up your skincare routine as this is when aging starts. Collagen and hyaluronic acid production start to lower, fine lines begin to deepen, and skin texture starts to thin. Along with stocking your routine with aging-friendly ingredients, this is a great time to address volume loss with monthly Med Tech Facials. If you do have significant fine lines, you can start to consider fillers and botox, before the fine lines get etched into your skin and thus harder to treat.

40's:

Continue with skin health maintenance that includes a good lineup of non-toxic products and frequent medical-grade facials. Laser Facials may be used to treat sun damage and hyper[igmentation and Med Tech Facials can be used to build up skin resilience and add volume. If you are interested in injectables and filler, this is a good age to start treating fine lines and wrinkles and address areas of volume loss in the midface, jawline, and lips.

50’s and beyond:

Continue being diligent with your skincare routine and frequent medical-grade facials. Similar to above, Laser Facials and Med Tech Facials are a great solution to skin maintenance as they will help reduce fillers and injectables in the long run. If you have started to use fillers and injectables, continue with them when needed but opt towards less is more (you don't want to be a slave to your injectables and fillers)
